Summer swells and non-stop action!

Team Extreme and White Sharks!

Sebi, Dani, and Volle came down to Seeker Surf Camp with Reimo, a VW T3 bus. It’s not Reimo’s first appearance in Galicia. Two years ago, Fenky came down with Reimo for a long visit in May, and continued on road-tripping to the south of Portugal, the Algarve, for more surf action. Reimo experienced a few issues on this trip. On the way down, the alternator (Lichtmachine) failed. Team Extreme was forced to camp near Biarritz for 2 nights before getting Reimo back from the garage.

Miguel showed us some of his hand-shaped boards with more flair!

Sebi had ordered a custom shaped board from Miguel Fernandez, the shaper from Asturias, a.k.a. White Shark Surfboards. The order came during his visit, and Sebi, and Pinti are both stoked on their new boards. Flo ordered a 6’4” egg for the camp, as well as a 7’6” mini-malbu. We tested it right away and some of the rides can be seen on Pinti’s July and August edits. Summer swells tend to be a lot weaker than winter swells, and that’s why we chose to get a couple of higher volume boards. More waves = more fun! Our quiver of surfboards host a couple of typical shortboards 5'10", 6'1", higher volume shortboard 6'2", a fish 6'2", a new White Shark egg 6'4", a retro 6'6", a couple of NSP's, a 6'10" Cortez, the new 7'2" White Shark, an 8'0", and a couple of trusty foamies for happy beginning fun and they double up for more riding time on the glassy small waves.

We love tacos!

Reto and Felix from Switzerland and Germany enjoyed their week-long stay in July. Felix went on to check out La Coruna the city, and also the Razo area for more surf action. Team Sweden came end of July. Martin was a guest during the first season of the camp, and he came back with a couple of surf buddies, Camilla and Johan. All were stoked for a week of solid swell and solid sessions. Sunrise sessions were the norm that week, and with the rental car, team Sweden surfed spot to spot all day long.

Julia is stoked after a successful evening session!

August rolled in and we were joined by Julia and Tim. And Team Goa, straight back from the Boom Boom festival in Portugal. Just as Reimo left, Renee’s T3 rolled up. They took it easy on their arrival day, but went for a lesson on their first couple of surf sessions ever. Pantin Classic Escuela de Surf took great care of them and introduced them to the surf matched with mellow waves in the start of the month. All six of the guests were beginners and it made for fun beginner sessions! Party waves!!!
